As traditional salon environments become increasingly challenging to navigate—whether due to unprecedented health concerns or the mental demands of everyday life—I’ve come to deeply appreciate the peaceful escape that a private, one-on-one experience provides. In creating my own space, I've crafted an environment where my clients can unwind in a quiet, clean, and safe atmosphere—free from the noise and distractions of a bustling salon. Here, we can connect and collaborate in a more intimate setting, without competing against the background noise of blow dryers, running stylists, or loud music.

Having worked in both traditional salons and private suites over my ten-year career, I recognize the camaraderie and community that larger salon settings can foster. I’ve built lifelong connections, learned invaluable techniques, and drawn inspiration from the talented stylists around me in those environments. There is, without a doubt, something special about the collaborative energy that exists in shared spaces.

However, for me, a private suite offers distinct advantages that align with my personal and professional values. In this more focused environment, I have the freedom to hone my craft, learn from my own experiences, and push the boundaries of my creativity without external distractions. It’s a place where I can reflect on what truly works for my clients and me—allowing me to grow as an artist in ways I hadn’t anticipated in traditional settings.

My clients appreciate the personalized, undivided attention they receive here. The absence of overstimulation allows us both the space to relax and be fully present—enjoying the process of creating something beautiful together. I take pride in curating every aspect of the studio, from the decor to the music, products, and overall ambiance, to ensure an experience that is not only comfortable but intentionally designed to inspire creativity and relaxation.

This space represents more than just a place to work—it’s a reflection of who I am as a stylist. Every detail is chosen with care, creating a haven for my clients where they feel seen, valued, and at ease. Here, we can collaborate in a way that’s meaningful, unhurried, and authentic—resulting in a truly memorable and unique experience.

Behind Reverie Hair Studio

2015: the year my journey began. It feels both distant and pivotal now. At the time, I had just graduated from beauty school, started my apprenticeship, and was a 22-year-old with the world at my feet. I was filled with excitement for what lay ahead.

Hair wasn’t always something I imagined myself doing. I used to visit my own stylist, Stephanie, and watch her evolve through different salon spaces, eventually opening her own. I remember thinking, I could do this—you get to listen to music all day! At that time, I was living in Fort Collins, working as a hostess at Carrabba’s Italian Grill. A few of my coworkers were attending Hair Dynamics Education Academy, a small, private beauty school just south of the college town. That’s where my own path took shape.

More on that journey in a later post, but through nearly ten years of highs and lows in the beauty industry, one thing has remained constant—my passion and creativity have never faltered. I’ve always strived to offer an experience that feels organic and deeply human, where every guest in my chair feels truly seen and valued.

Reverie Hair Studio is a space where clients can escape the pace of their busy lives and take a few hours to reconnect with themselves. Whether it’s sipping on a cup of coffee and chatting about life, or simply enjoying the quiet, it’s a time to unwind and be present. We sit above the city, with views that make everything seem a little more relative, a little more serene. And, of course, you’ll leave feeling completely amazing about your hair!

By definition, reverie means "a state of being pleasantly lost in thought, often in a daydream." It’s that feeling of drifting away from the rush of the world and finding a quiet space within yourself—something I hope every client experiences when they step into my studio.
