Behind Reverie Hair Studio

2015: the year my journey began. It feels both distant and pivotal now. At the time, I had just graduated from beauty school, started my apprenticeship, and was a 22-year-old with the world at my feet. I was filled with excitement for what lay ahead.

Hair wasn’t always something I imagined myself doing. I used to visit my own stylist, Stephanie, and watch her evolve through different salon spaces, eventually opening her own. I remember thinking, I could do this—you get to listen to music all day! At that time, I was living in Fort Collins, working as a hostess at Carrabba’s Italian Grill. A few of my coworkers were attending Hair Dynamics Education Academy, a small, private beauty school just south of the college town. That’s where my own path took shape.

More on that journey in a later post, but through nearly ten years of highs and lows in the beauty industry, one thing has remained constant—my passion and creativity have never faltered. I’ve always strived to offer an experience that feels organic and deeply human, where every guest in my chair feels truly seen and valued.

Reverie Hair Studio is a space where clients can escape the pace of their busy lives and take a few hours to reconnect with themselves. Whether it’s sipping on a cup of coffee and chatting about life, or simply enjoying the quiet, it’s a time to unwind and be present. We sit above the city, with views that make everything seem a little more relative, a little more serene. And, of course, you’ll leave feeling completely amazing about your hair!

I always felt that the real rock stars were the ones who could step back from it and see it as art.
— Debbie Harry

By definition, reverie means "a state of being pleasantly lost in thought, often in a daydream." It’s that feeling of drifting away from the rush of the world and finding a quiet space within yourself—something I hope every client experiences when they step into my studio.
